CORN!

So the local green grocer had corn on sale, fresh and still in the husk, 5 for $1. Well, how could I pass that up? I couldn't... so tonight's dinner will feature a corn on the cob side. How exciting. Now I have to start a composter of some sort. I can't just throw away those husks! Oh how I wish we were out of this apartment!

So the plan is to shuck the corn, clean it up and toss it in a pot of boiling water. Immediately turn off the heat and cover, then let sit 15 minutes. Ought to come out perfect! I'm very excited.

The only way it could be better is if I had grown it myself!


If we have an extra ear or two (there's only 3 of us, I bought 5) I may try making corn fritters from the leftovers.
